The Shamrock Run is always a favorite for the NLR crew. Since many of us are running it virtually this year, we’re getting a small group together to run the “race.” Our Shamrock Group Run will be Sunday, March 7th at 10am.

I’m working on a few versions of the 8k route and will choose the one that’s best suited for the weather conditions of the day. Copies of the course route will be shared with everyone who is registered prior to the event! Our Shamrock Run will be at the Outer Harbor, so as to avoid any potential red lights, traffic, etc., since we don’t have the benefit of road closures and police escorts. Bonus: this will be the flattest Shamrock you ever ran!

There will be one water stop set up about halfway through, with individual bottles for each runner. The course will be measured via GPS watch and marked for runners, but obviously this will not be a certified course.

All runners must keep faces covered prior to the run, and upon finishing their run. If at any point during your run, you come within six feet of another person, please cover your face. You should not attend if you have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 or if you are experiencing symptoms of any kind.

Pre-registration for this group run is required so that we know how many people to expect. However, Shamrock Run registration is NOT required, should you just want to come and do a 5 mile run with a group.

Plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early. There will be a waiver to sign and Melina will lead a group warm-up pre-run.
